Each religion depends on few basic rules that a person needs to solidly confide in order to be known as its legitimate devotee like having confidence in Allah, taking after the particular Prophets and tolerating their Books as genuine. The religious faith incorporates believing the fact that Allah is one, taking after the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as Allah's last messenger. A believer must also consider the Quran as a method for genuine direction.
Quran: “And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].” (2: 4)
This verse of the Quran puts stress on the satisfaction of conviction of a genuine follower of the religion as far as supreme duty to all that the Lord has directed the Prophets of the past time, His last prophet (SAW) and in the unceasing existence after this life. Following worldly desires weaken the faith of a Muslim:
The Wealth of the world
The whole arrangement of living on this planet fixates on making proper pay so as to carry on with a fruitful life. Without having money, it is not possible to survive. Keeping harmony between the two, amassing of material products and fulfillment of social and religious obligations is vital.
Quran: “Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire – of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.” (3: 14)
So you must not let the desire for wealth and the apparent attractiveness of worldly things weaken your imaan.
The love of your children
There are many people whose imaan are weakening because of the love of their children. Children are basically the dearest ones for their parents in this world, many parents are lost in the worldly activities for their children and between all this, and the worst part is that they don’t remember their Creator.
Quran: “O you, who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that – then those are the losers.” (63: 9)
The Greediness for worldly stuff
It is psychologically true about every living being that they always want more, more of what they have. So it does not matter how much one have, one always wants more and never really feels satisfied. Between the greediness and the wealth, Allah is forgotten.
Quran: “And you will surely find them the greediest of people for life – [even] more than those who associate others with Allah. One of them wishes that he could be granted life a thousand years, but it would not remove him in the least from the [coming] punishment that he should be granted life. And Allah sees what they do.” (2: 96)
The physical lust
In your life, there always comes a time when you go under evil impact and submit activities of sins. Such demonstrations of wrongdoing that are done so as to finish one`s bodily lust in the long run lead towards demolition of the religious faith.
Quran: “But if they do not respond to you – then know that they only follow their [own] desires. And who is more astray than one who follows his desire without guidance from Allah? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.” (28: 50)
Jealousy between people
People do not focus on the things that they have; instead, they feel jealous of the people around them for having more wealth or things that are comparatively better. People who feel jealous are people with weak faith. In this regard, you will find in Islam:
“Never can Iman and envy come together in the heart of a slave.” (Al- Nasa’i)
All these things make your faith weak and will eventually lead you towards committing sins. Think about them and adopt the good habits.
